IDEA FELLOWSHIP
In-Depth Effective Altruism Fellowship
In-Depth Effective Altruism (IDEA) Fellowship
In-Depth Effective Altruism (IDEA) Fellowship is designed for the graduates of the EAIF or people who have completed another introductory EA fellowship but are interested to deepen their involvement and understanding. It is an 8-week program.
The main point of the fellowship is to:
Give fellows a deep understanding of some of the most important ideas within EA, and make them aware of the open questions and debates
Give fellows a toolkit and the experience necessary to start thinking seriously about these issues themselves, particularly insofar as they relate to career or donation opportunities
Fellows feel welcomed into the core of the community, and make genuine connections with others that will sustain past the end of the fellowship
What the Fellowship Involves
Time commitment of 3-5 hours per week
Fellows spend 2-4 hours in preparation for a weekly 60-minute discussion with their cohort
Cohorts have 3-5 fellows and one facilitator
Preparation involves going through the core materials, some of the further materials, completing exercises, and suggesting discussion questions
